  1. Wow! Look at that last shot!!! I adore the autumn, and little lifts my spirits more than the sun shining through a brightly-colored tree on a crisp fall day. Thanks for sharing!!

  2. I love trees, especially when they're decked out in their fall finest.

  3. Oh dear. Looking at these pics makes me wonder why everyone doesn't hate fall as much as I do! That beautiful tree (and I am not a tree lover) went from gorgeous and full of life to dying and hiding from the harsh weather about to come. Not pretty, sad and disheartening. I find trees too messy for my life. They are always dropping stuff all over my nice neat surroundings.
Great post for those who see the beauty, and I did try. *sigh*

  4. You're welcome Amy!

Yes Beth, I love the color too, and was so impressed by the fact that 'my tree' went through just about every color out there!

Thanks for trying Jo. I'll post some pics of dormant winter sticks in a few months, just for you to celebrate!

  5. Beautiful photos! I can happily admire them from afar as I stick out the fall and winter in sunny Southern California. ;) I did spend a few years in Massachusetts and New York though, so I did my time in the chills that bring such bright leaves.

Jo - the tree needs to lose its leaves to survive! It's a happy thing that the tree can hold out the winter and come back strong in the spring. ;) I do know what you are saying, but I also find the angles and lines in bare trees absolutely gorgeous.

Mike - Copy and repost the response to your comment over at Be My Guest below - would love to have you! "Mike - Your birthday is all yours! Can't wait to see what you come up with. :) LOL about the parentheses. And, I heartily welcome men to post, so feel free to spread the word."

  6. WOW! I have a lot of family up north... I miss the time of the year when the leaves changed to the vibrant reds, oranges and yellows. Thank you for posting these beautiful pictures :o)
